God Is For Us

When your eyes are open to the goodness of God. When you See, Hear and know of His Grace, you will have a change of perspective.  Your confidence level will increase! Your chest and head will rise up, and the words from your lips will speak of VICTORY, not defeat! ABUNDANCE, not lack! HOPE and not despair!  Ask God to open your spiritual eyes like He did for Elisha’s servant (2King 6:16-17) and know that there are more for you than against you.  For the children of God, all things work together for our good because we love and put our trust in God and His plan for our lives (Romans 8:28). Amen

Court Room Psalm

I had a dream last night that I was on the stand in a court room.  Many questions where being asked of me.  The last question I answered the lawyer (Holy Spirit) had a rebuttal that He spoke in a Psalm to correct my thought process.  This is what He said:

Court Room Psalm

When the ravishing locust try to overtake you,

and the storms of life try to capsize you,

you will not be moved.

For your God is the all consuming One.

His power no foe can withstand.

For He crushed the head of your enemy,

and pierced the darkness with His light.

Those who try to destroy you will only be left naked and abandoned, forsaken in the wilderness.

They trust not in the Lord, but only in their lofty goods.

But the Lord covers those who love Him.

He lavishes them with fine riches, adorns them with extravagant garments.

His abundance over takes them, it abounds to no end.

His desires toward you are good and his thoughts are pure.

His eye is on you always,

And you will not be put to shame.

Your days will be lengthy, your life forever great.

For the Lord loves those who exalt Him,

their lives are eternally blessed. ~Selah

Just Think

You’re not here by chance,
but by God’s choosing.
His hand formed you
and made you the person you are.
He compares you to no one else-
you are one of a kind.
You lack nothing
that His grace can’t give you.
He has allowed you to be here
at this time in history
to fulfill His special purpose
for this generation. ~Selah

Believe With Boldness And Go For It! (Matthew 9)

This was her last and only hope. It may be the answer she had been longing for all these years.  Suffering for over 20 years with such a chronic illness that isolated her from others, she must fight through the crowd and take a chance.  So desperate for healing, she ignored the conventions of the day, just for a chance to touch His garment.

In those days a women dare not touch or be in the presence of anyone during her “time of the month” let alone touch a man of high esteem like a Rabbi, as Jesus was considered to be.  But the spirit in her rose up and she knew deep down inside that by doing so she would be healed.  Then suddenly, after long years of suffering, she finally found peace and freedom.  This only came because she recognized and had faith in the power that Christ Jesus would flow in and through her. (Matt. 9:22)

We have the power in us to heal the sick, raise the dead, and open the eyes of the blind, just as Jesus did.  I would go even further to say that we can pray and heal our own bodies, if needed.  Jesus said,

“I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.” (John 14:12)

So we need to walk in the authority and power that he has given us!  Why wait?  If Jesus is our Lord and he has given us a commission to do these things what’s stopping us?  Could it be unbelief?  Do you think that the miracles, signs and wonders were only done because Jesus was God?  His word says that we are to follow his pattern as believers.  Or maybe you believe that those things don’t exist anymore?  There are many documented accounts of those like John G. Lake, Kathryn Kuhlman, and Smith Wigglesworth, to name a few, who have walked in the authority and power of God.  Is it fear of mans judgment or criticism?  I say this to you; Jesus has already conquered such things and overcame them!

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have (perfect) peace and confidence.  In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer (take courage); be confident, certain, undaunted)!  For I have overcome the world.  (I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.) (John 16:33 Amplified Bible)

He challenges us to walk out in faith and do as he did.  I believe in order to do such works we may need to examine our lives.  Search deep inside and ask the Holy Spirit what are the things that are hindering us from receiving our own complete healing and the key to administering healing to others.  Could it be judgment against others, un-forgiveness, gossip, slander, fear or deep soul wounds from the past that may be stopping up the flow of virtuous healing in our bodies?  Maybe we don’t believe we deserve healing or blessings because of the guilt of past offenses.  Whatever our thought process that is causing us to have unbelief or doubt, Jesus came to set us free!

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. Because He has anointed Me (the Anointed One, the Messiah) to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth and deliver those who are oppressed (who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity), (Luke 4:18)

“So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free indeed.” (John 8:36)

We have no need to walk in guilt and condemnation.   Jesus said, “If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

When we rest in the presence of the Holy Spirit and tune out the distractions of the world, he will give us direction.  Allow him to pour into you and redefine who he is and who you are in him.   I believe as we become desperate, as the woman with the issue of blood, he will reveal himself to us.  We have to denounce the lies of the enemy and stand on the truth of God’s word.

As you walk in the overflow of healing in your body, you will then be able to go forth and heal others in the power of Jesus name.

“And His name, through and by faith in His name, has made this man whom you see and recognize well and strong. (Yes) the faith which is through and by Him (Jesus) has given the man this perfect soundness (of body) before all of you.” (Acts 3:16 Amplified)

Only believe!

“For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will (get it). (Mark 11:24 Amp.)

God needs you and he desires to use you to manifest his glory on the earth.  To release healing as he did to the sick and set the captives free.  So let the healing rise up in you, so it may be released through you to others.

God has a great plan and purpose for your life.  But sometimes we elevate the report of the enemy more than we magnify the truth of God’s word.  We give more weight to the negative report, then of the possible.  If we continue to focus on the bad report, whether it’s from the doctor, finances, or the media, and repeatedly speak about our problems they will grow worst.  When we declare God’s word over our lives it will actually create what is spoken and manifest healing.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it.” (Proverbs 18:21)

Ultimately, we must chose to transition and reverse the mindset of this culture that is so embedded into our lives.

“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), (fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs), but be transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewal of your mind (by its new ideals and its new attitude), so that you may prove (for yourselves) what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the things which is good and acceptable and perfect (in His sight for you).(Romans 12:2 Amplified Bible)

Just as the woman with the issue of blood, boldly going before the crowd and touching the hem of the Rabbi’s garment.  Even though she knew that by doing so she may have been mocked, abused or even worst, stoned to death.  Yet, instead of scolding and shaming her, Jesus praised her and said,

“Take courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well.” And at once the woman was restored to health. (Matt. 9:22)

That day, countless men and women had brushed against Jesus, but only one had truly touched him.  And instead of being defiled by contact with her, his own touch had proven the more contagious, rendering her pure and whole again.

As I continued reading Matthew 9, I noticed that there are many accounts of Jesus going about healing in Capernaum.  There was the paralyzed man, the rulers’ daughter, the mute, and many others who were weak and sick. But in each case they either went after their healing or someone else took them to Jesus.

So as with us, we must go before the throne of grace and receive the life Jesus has for us, he is waiting.  Believe with Boldness! And Go For It!

The Golden Wall of Heaven (Prophetic Vision)

The Golden Wall of Heaven

In a vision while praying, I saw a huge long golden wall. As I walked up to it I felt the presence of the Lord that had such a beauty sweet fragrance. The atmosphere was so heavy and there was a soft cloud like substance that had streaks of rainbow colors glistening through them. I would hear him speak to me, in my mind, but no words were being spoken, but I could perceive what he was saying.  I looked at this wall and on it were multitudes of gold and silvery like knobs shining. It seemed to be billions of them, all lined up from top to bottom on this vast wall that stretched so far I could not see where it ended.  I felt drawn to pull on one of the knobs and as I did there came out an ancient looking scroll. I unrolled this scroll and as I felt the silkiness of the paper, I thought to myself that this was something special, royal, and majestic. As I looked on the top of the scroll there was written the word LIFE in fancy lettering.  The Lord then said to me, “You write the Script of your Life,” then handed me a pen.  Immediately I thought of the verse in Habakkuk 2:2-3(The Message) which says, “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.”

As the Lord prompted me to start writing, I felt in my heart a desire to write my family, friends and everyone I love on the scroll.  I wanted to write their names on the scroll so they wouldn’t be left out, to secure their lives on earth and in heaven, as if I could.  He spoke to my heart that they must write their own script, so I continued to write.  As the atmosphere was so thick, cloud like substance covered the ground along with gold dust. The air was so heavy, but lightly exhilarating, as it seemed to breathe life into me. Then I saw my husband Jimmy to the left of me smiling as our eyes met. He kissed me on the forehead which comforted me. I breathed a sigh of relief when I also noticed our children and the rest of the family right next to us in a row facing this monumental magnificent wall. They each started writing their script which filled my heart with joy and praises to the Lord in my spirit.  I leaned over a bit more and noticed in the row where multitudes of people standing before the wall.  These were my friends and people I have met in passing during my lifetime. I felt the Lord say, “These are the ones that you have affected.  The seeds you have planted, even without knowing, have brought them to this place.” I was overwhelmed with his peace, joy, and love that had consumed my entire being. As I watched, I noticed some were writing on their scroll and others were waiting.  I felt sad as I wanted to desperately yell out to them to start writing. I wondered why they wouldn’t take hold of the chance to create their own destiny.  Then I was awaken out of this vision and heard the Lord speak…..

A Word from the Lord:

I want you to begin writing your story, your dream, and your life.  The desires that you have in your heart, I have put there for a purpose and plan.  These desires will not only benefit you, but everyone around you.  I am in agreement with my people for their destiny, and long to partner with you to see it fulfilled.  Begin your journey NOW and write the Script for your life.  I have given you the power, walk in it.  I have called you to make a difference. Do not allow the enemy to disempower you with fear, but stand boldly proclaiming my Word which will defeat all foes. You need not to fear, for I am with you ALWAYS!

Rape, Revenge, and Repentance (Genesis 34)

Rape, Revenge, and Repentance (Genesis 34)

Dinah was a free spirited, beautiful young woman. She was the only girl of ten brothers.  She ventured out alone with no permission, unattended out into the big city to visit with the daughters of the land. (v34:1). This was a new and exciting place for her, the land of Shechem, where her parents, Jacob and Leah, and the rest of the family bought land to live on (Gen. 33:19).  Perhaps being naive and innocent, she was unaware of what would await her in Shechem.  Rape, sexual defilement, embarrassment, and shame was thrust upon her, taking away all innocence of her being, as Shechem, the prince of the country intruded and invaded her soul. (v.2)

But this was more than just sex.  A soul tie had been formed, which happens when one has sex, at least he recognized this, as his desire for her grew so much to the point of begging his father to arrange a marriage between the two, in spite of how this dishonorable union came about. (v.3-8). So Hamor, Shechems father, went to Jacob and did as his son request. (v.8-12) But Dinah’s brothers were furious and plot to kill Shechem, his father and all the men in their city.  They did this by a false agreement saying, “We cannot do this thing and give our sister to one who is not circumcised, for that would be a reproach and disgrace to us.  But we do consent to do this: if you will become as we are and every male among you be circumcised, then we will give our daughters to you and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you and become one people.” (v.14-16)

Shechem, his father, and all their men agreed and were circumcised.  On the third day Jacobs sons went into their country and killed all the men, including Shechem and Hamor, and plundered the land.  (v.25-29)  Then they retrieved their sister from the house of Shechem as they intended in their hearts to do.

Now this brought fear and shame upon Jacob, when hearing of this, knowing that his people would now be sought after.  The sons tried to justify their actions, by saying, “Should he (Shechem) be permitted to deal with our sister as a harlot?”

But as we know, two wrongs don’t make a right.

Jacob, being the God fearing man that he was, announced to the people that early in the morning they must journey to Bethel and worship and seek council of the Lord. (Gen. 35:3-4) When they did, God showed up!  (Gen. 35:5)  Since Jacob sought wise council as he worshiped and prayed to God the Father, he was covered and protected.  The enemy could not pursue him and prevail. (Gen. 35:5)

We see here that although Dinah, in her innocence, was still disobedient by not letting her parents know of her actions.  Had she mentioned to her parents what she was going to do, they may have sent someone with her to keep her protected.  Being at a time when women were not respected or looked upon with high esteem, she should have known of the dangers.  Never the less, a choice was made that caused a spiral effect of destruction.

I’m reminded of a friend who told me of a choice she made to elope as a teenager with a young man who she only knew a short time.  Soon after she was caught in a web of deceit, fear, anxiety and disaster.  She found herself being stabbed, beaten (on many occasions) and cheated on.  He impregnated a co-worker who she worked closely with.  This broke her heart, not only hers but the co-workers husband, who when finding out about the pregnancy, after wanting to have a child with his wife for such a long time, killed himself in his car in the garage.

I mention these accounts, not to place blame, but to open our eyes to the fact that there is a covering needed from our earthly fathers and most of all, our Father in heaven.  We must hear Gods voice in order to make right choices and honor him. We also must hear the voice of the leaders of our homes, the fathers and husbands who are to rise up and take responsibility for their families, just as Jacob did, even though his children were at fault.  Sometimes we make choices to do things on our own, be it out of curiosity, rebellion, or to remedy a painful shame that’s so deep we feel the only way to cure it is to do what we may thing is right, but the Word of God says that, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverb 16:25)

Dinah, Shechem, Jacob sons, and many of us make choices on our own, without seeking the Lord first.  Sometimes those choices can bring about destructive consequences to many lives. Spending time in God’s presence in prayer and worship helps us to discover His wisdom that protects us in our daily decisions for our lives.  ~Rosemarie Hilton
